I have to close all programs when Facetime is up and I want to use Safari. If I try to use Safari or Word when Factime is open, there is a crazy typing lag. Facetime also works on my iPhone and iPad.Īnother issue I've had - my computer is pretty powerful but it slows to a crawl when I have Facetime running. All you need to do from a web browser is provide a name to identify you on the call: There's no need to log in with your Apple ID, or even have an Apple ID. My apple ID and password work with iTunes, email, and iMessage. I tried using other apple IDs that I have. I tried looking on here and added 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to my DNS list. I've tried restarting the app and my Macbook. I have updated my software so everything is the current versions. I didn't change anything between closing Facetime and reopening it so I have no idea what the problem is. The other screen was there and gone so quickly that I couldn't read anything that it said (I can't read it but I think it was 4 lines and said "P. But when I entered my apple ID and password, it went to another screen for a split second and then went back to the sign in screen. When I reopened it, it told me to sign in. When I was able to log in, my computer slowed to a crawlįacetime's audio was choppy and fuzzy yesterday so I closed the program and reopened it (normally I just end the call but this time I accidentally closed it instead).
